Every guide here traces its claims back to the underlying climate science, engineering research, or official guidance behind a given hazard, rather than to headlines or a single anecdote. Some cover household-level action, like what belongs in an emergency kit or how flood insurance is actually priced, and others cover the infrastructure and policy layer that determines how much risk reaches a household in the first place, from grid hardening to the research programmes that inform adaptation funding.
